Three to go!
|DAY 18 - SEPT 19 - MONDAY
We left our campground in Boise, ID and got on the road again heading northwest on I-84 into the high desert eastern side of Oregon. Our objective for the day was to make the Pasco, WA area which we were able to do in time for a late lunch in Pasco.
Pasco is in a tri-city arrangement at the junction of the Snake River and the Columbia River. We stopped by the Pasco FD and they were kind enough to take me over to the boathouse where they keep their new fireboat for some photos.
Two more states and a fireboat in one day. Not bad.
We spent Night 18 in a campground at Pasco,
|STATES: ID, *OR*, *WA* - (2) States [both new} for the day /
(20) different States & (4)
Provinces so far
|DISTANCE: 285 miles for the Day / 5692 miles for the Trip so far|
|FIREBOATS: (14) Pasco, WA|
The map is looking good. Three states left for this adventure. Two more of them today.
Welcome to Oregon
The high desert of eastern Oregon
Across the bridge over the Columbia River and into Washington state on I-82.
Thanks to Pasco FD for showing me their new boat.
The new fireboat is in this complex along the Columbia River.
Out at the Tri-Cities Airport in Pasco is a structural and ARFF station.
Two states added.... One more to go. But, it will have to wait a while
as we head for the Pacific northwest.
