to build a new fire station for the Town of Mattapoisett on May 14, 2019.
The final approval will go before voters in an election on May 21, 2019.
If voters approve funding, the station would be built next to the Police
Station and will replace the very tight present station.

Fire Headquarters March 2006
Mattapoisett is in the planning stages of a new fire station that would be large
enough to handle the present and future needs of the department.  Larger
apparatus bays, living space, and training facilities are among the needs of
the department.  The present station was built in 1954. The new station
would be built next to the police department if funding is approved in
FY-08-09.   Update Feb 2007
