Winter Trip 2015

During a prior trip to visit family in the area the previous summer, we had stayed at the Wyndham Garden Hotel in the Delaware County, PA community of Concordville. I had visited their firehouse and many others in the area on that trip and had programmed the scanner with that area.

SEE ON THE ROAD - PA-DE-MD 2014

We had left home early in the morning and reached PA for a late lunch. It began snowing shortly after we arrived and a bitter cold wind was blowing. I heard a reported "building fire" on the scanner and from my previous visit recognized the companies that were dispatched and the general area of the fire, so we "took it in."

The fire ended up being at the very hotel we had stayed in 6 months before. Fortunately for all it was confined to a laundry room and was quickly under control. So I got some unplanned photos of a bunch of apparatus to start the vacation.
