| Day 17 started out from Lakewood, on the shore of New Jersey. The first stop was at Red Bank, NJ and finding their Fireboat. The Red Bank FIREBOAT is a Sea Ark, located at the Marine Park on
Wharf Ave at the Navesink River. |

| The next stop, was at the Brevent Park FD in Leonardo, NJ.
Timing is everything. We met up with a department member
who guided us to their Boston Whaler FIREBOAT, located at their dock
on Beach Ave, in Leonardo Harbor. |

| ATLANTIC HIGHLANDS NJ |
| The last stop in New Jersey was at Atlantic Highlands. Once
again, timing is everything. We arrived at the fire station as a
member was there and opened up the doors to check out the variety of
colors of their apparatus. This also led to us getting some
directions to their FIREBOAT which was originally the Secacus NY
boat. |

| OYSTER BAY LI NY |
| We left New Jersey, found our way over the Verrazzano Narrow
Bridge and through Brooklyn NY. We headed to Oyster Bay on the north
shore of Long Island. There are apparently several Fire Companies
in Oyster Bay. The Atlantic Steamer Company No. 1 has its main
station and another station down near the bay. There were 2
FIREBOATS on the department's dock. |

| The Oyster Bay, Atlantic Steamer Co.1 Maine Station at the bay
has a pier with the older boat and the recently acquired (and
painted green) FIREBOAT that was previously Wantagh LI NY Fireboat. |

| Back to the southern shore of Long Island. We found the new
Wantagh FIREBOAT.
Another full day. We found a hotel in Islip for Night 17. |
