| TRAVERSE CITY MI |
| Day 5 started out early in Traverse City. The sun was just
coming up over farm lands as we made our way up along the coast. We visited a busy little town called Charlevoix and then on to Petoskey. |
| PETOSKEY MI |
| We visited a couple fire stations in Petoskey. The central
station had an antique and some museum type displays. The area has a large number of pleasure boats. |
| MACKINAW CITY MI |
| Mackinaw City is located at the tip of the Lower Peninsula of
Michigan, where Lake Huron and Lake Michigan connect.
Ferry boats commute frequently back and forth to Mackinac Islands. The Mackinac Bridge connects the Lower and Upper Peninsulas. The impressive bridge is reported to be the 7th longest suspension bridge in the world. The bridge is about 5 miles long, with about 8,600 feet suspended. Impressive to drive over.

| We drove along the Upper Peninsula shore of Lake Michigan,
enjoying various views. This is our fourth Great Lake on this trip.

| GREEN BAY WI |
| After our nice drive along Lake Michigan we arrived at Green
Bay, Wisconsin. We found the Green Bay Metro Fire Department's
FIREBOAT. In doing so, we also learned why this is called "Green
Bay." Apparently an Algai has found the lower end of this body of
water to be a good place to grow, dating back to the 1600's when the
area was first named. |

| GREEN BAY WI |
| This was our first visit to Green Bay, WI. Obviously we have
heard about the city and it's NFL Football Team The Green Bay
Packers. We drove around Lambeau Field before finding a nearby hotel
and place to eat in "Titletown." Night 5 in Green Bay.
