We visited Bay City, MI. The Fire Department was preparing to Remember September 11 at the Central Station. An important day, 23 Years after that day.

We were curious whether Bay City had a fireboat, but it did not, although the Saginaw River and Saginaw Bay are a significant area of Lake Huron, our 3rd Great Lake so far.

We exited the highway and found a Department of Natural Fire Services Station, that protects a State Forest in the central area of the Lower half of Michigan.

The Memorial is in a very rural area. It pays respect to hundreds of Michigan Fallen Firefighters.

We had visited this area years ago and looked forward to seeing it again. An American Flag hung over the Main Street in front of the Fire Station remembering 9/11.

We enjoyed a late lunch at a place called Bubba's on the Main Street.

We would spend Night 4 in Traverse City. But first, a few Fireboats.

We had previously researched the area, and found the Glen Lake FIREBOAT online. We visited the Fire Station and photographed this boat that can be trailered as needed on Glen Lake or Lake Michigan.

Both Glen Lake and Lake Michigan are impressive bodies of water.
