CINCINNATI, OH
Cincinnati was a relatively short drive from Louisville. The weather was very pleasant
and I was able to take advantage of that to find several fireboats in the general area.

CINCINNATI GREAT AMERICAN BALL PARK

COVINGTON, KY
The Covington Fire Boat has been refurbished and relocated a little since the last time I was here.
The 2010 Metal Craft boat was refurbished in 2017.

BOONE COUNTY WATER RESCUE
Another boat that had caught my eye while doing some research was this red, white, and blue
vessel of the Boone County Water Rescue team. The 2013 Munson 36' Landing Craft style
Marine 220 is docked within the Manhattan Marina in Dayton, KY just a short drive from
the Covington boat.

CINCINNATI, OH
With the day winding down, I crossed the bridge into downtown Cincinnati.
Fire Station 3 would be first due to the Ball Park.
They also have the "old" Boat 3 in their station.

STATION 37
The crew from this station staffs the "new" Cincinnati Fireboat which is kept
in the River on the West side of the city.

The new Fire Boat 3 is a 2018 Munson 32' Landing Craft Style with 3,000 gpm pump.

Cincinnati Fire Department was the 1st Fulltime Fire Department in the Nation in 1853.

The next morning, the temperature had dropped considerably.
Back into long pants and a jacket.

WILDER, KY
A few miles South of the hotel was another boat at the Wilder Fire Department.

BOONE COUNTY, KY
I was curious about other Boone County boats I had seen online.
I found my way to one of their land bases (not easy to get to).

SNO-HIO
Robyn, Ashley, and Jackson had made their way North to the Cleveland area
while I was on my adventure. We reconnected in time for an April Fools Day
snow fall in Ohio. It had been 71 degrees in Cincinnati a couple days before
and now it was bitter cold. The little guy had never seen snow before, so it
turned into a fun experience.
