DAY 16
| DAY 16 - JULY 20 We left Ft. Collins, Colorado early and headed for Rocky Mountain National park. Our trip has transitioned from the farm belt to the great plains over the first two weeks. Now we transition into the mountains for week 3. The trip to Rocky Mountain National Park was impressive itself. The national park was everything we had hoped for and more. We drove up and over mountains and experienced the effects of high altitude for the first time as we reached elevations over 12,000 feet. It was a spectacular drive and one we will never forget. We found a few fire stations and were actually directed to a pretty amazing fire museum in the mountains. |
