DAY 9

DAY 9 - JULY 13
     After a second night in Kansas City, we started out visiting fire departments in a two communities with "must visit" names - Independence and Liberty, Missouri.  Both are suburbs of Kansas City. Independence was the hometown of 33rd President Harry S. Truman which is proudly displayed on apparatus protecting the Truman Library and home.  Liberty is not far from Independence.

     Our goal was to get to Omaha, Nebraska.  We traveled through Iowa on the way to Omaha.  We will spend the next few days in Omaha attending the minor league 2015 AAA Baseball All-Star Game.

     We spent night 9 in Omaha after a 237 mile day.
