1 - THE TRIP SOUTH
ON THE ROAD SOUTH
A few days before we were to leave for our Winter 2019 Florida trip, I ended up
with a dental
issue that resulted in me being delayed. Robyn however needed to get to Florida
for a baby shower
scheduled before it would be possible to drive her south in time. So, at the
last minute we put her
on a plane to Florida and I ended up driving myself south a few days later with
the car and stuff
we would need for the next couple months.
I left from the dentist office and started my trip south.
I had a few stops to make along the way. The first was to see if I could find
the new fireboat
in Narragansett, RI. After getting some photos of the new boat, I continued on
my way through
Connecticut, with a couple quick stops off the highway.
The end of Day 1 got me to a hotel in northern Delaware, which was actually a
good start
to the trip.

Located alongside I-95 in Norwalk, CT is a really good looking fire station worth the stop.
After another long day of driving from Delaware south, I ended
up in Fayetteville, SC.
The next day, I visited a few stations before continuing on south making it to
Jacksonville, FL.
JACKSONVILLE, FL FIREBOATS
Jacksonville, FL has a few Fireboat stations. I was looking for their newest
boat and found it
located at the fireboat station across from the football stadium and got some
photos before
the sun set for the day.
