The Essex Fire Department operates a combination fire / rescue boat.
Approx 1990 26' Privateer
Located on the Connecticut River a few miles north of I-95 at Old Saybrook,
the Marine unit is docked at a marina next to the Town Dock off Novelty Lane.
The boat has a small pump and bow mounted deck gun.
