Wareham EMS provides emergency medical response
within the town of Wareham. It covers both the Wareham Fire District
and the Onset Fire District area. Wareham EMS operates out of its own facility on Sandwich Road. It is dispatched by the Wareham Police Department. The department has (3) ALS ambulances and an ALS Supervisor vehicle. There are (9) fulltime paramedics including the director. The department also has 7 on call personnel. There are (2) personnel on duty working 10 hr days and 14 hr nights. Backup is provided by a callback system.
