The intersection of Main Street and South Street in the west end of Hyannis.
The former "Villa Vecchione" restaurant was a 1 story wooden building
dating back to
the 1920s. It had changed hands and was most recently vacant.
Banstable Ladder 206 and Hyannis Engine 822 operated on side 1. L206
operated its
ladder pipe as did the Hyannis tower.
Heavy fire fully involved the interior of the building.
Fire comes through the roof on side 3 as Hyannis firefighters operate
2-1/2" lines.
Side 3 firefighters operating 2-1/2" handlines.
Side 3 fire through the roof and heavy smoke.
