"Lady Anne"

The Anne Arundel County Fire Department operates Fire Boat 19
from the Sandy Point State Park near the western end of the Bay Bridges
across the Chesapeake Bay not far from Annapolis.

The "Lady Anne" was built by MetalCraft Marine in 2003.
It is 43' LOA, with a 14'6" beam and 2-1/2' draft.
The boat is rated at approximately 3000 gpm.

The area protected by the "Lady Anne" includes approximately
400 miles of shoreline, 300 marinas, and about 12,000 private boat slips
as well as much of the large ships heading up the bay to Baltimore.

Avenue, MD is located on a peninsula in southern Maryland on the Potomac River
between the Wicomico River and St Clement's Bay.
The boat is kept in the fire house at Colton Point Rd and Oakley Road
and is on a trailer ready to be towed to the appropriate launch site.

a few miles south of Annapolis.

The boat is approximately 27' in length and has twin outboards.
A deckgun is mounted on the bow.

Deale also has a smaller Boston Whaler boat.

Romancoke is a small community located on the southern end of Kent Island, MD.
The "United Communities VFD" protects the community located in Queen Anne's County
in the eastern shore across the Chesapeake Bay from Annapolis. The department's
fireboat is located in North Pond with easy access to Eastern Bay and the Chesapeake.
Fireboat 9 is a FireCraft 28 foot with a 1250 gpm pump and two deckguns.
It has twin Evinrude 250 HP and a 5000 w generator.
The boat, as well as United Communities' other apparatus have a dark green stripe.
