GALVESTON FIRE BOATS

Galveston, TX
The City of Galveston, Texas is located on Galveston Island on the Gulf of Mexico,
Southeast of Houston, TX. The Island is about 27 miles long and less than 3 miles
wide for about 41 square miles. Population is about 50,000 with large tourist influx.
The department has about 6 fire stations.

Galveston does not have a fireboat, but has contingencies for use of a barge
if necessary. It does have some small boats.
