CROSBY FIRE BOATS

 

Crosby, TX
The Community of Crosby, TX is located in Harris County to the Northeast
of Houston along US 90, a few miles north of I-10.

The Crosby Volunteer Fire Department protects the Incorporated and unincorporated
parts of the community covering about 103 square miles and a population of about 30,000
from 5 fire stations. While the department does not cover any large bays or lakes,
it does have canals and other area that periodically flood. The department has
several boats to provide rescue and evacuation when such events happen.

Crosby, TX
"Water Rescue"
The Crosby, TX Fire Department has about 3 of these Rescue One
flat bottom aluminum boats with 60 hp Mercury outboards. The boats
are assigned to 3 of the 5 fire stations in the district. Stations are
numbered 81, 82, 83, 84, 85 with apparatus sharing similar numbering.

In addition, there are 5 of the inflatable boats that can be powered
by a 25 hp Mercury outboard.
