RETIRED FDNY FIRE BOAT FIRE FIGHTER
MUSEUM

"Fire Fighter"

The 1938 FDNY Fireboat "Fire Fighter" served the city until it retired in 2011.
Now the 134' long - 20,000 gpm vessel is a recognized national historic landmark
and museum in Greenport, Long Island.  The purpose of the museum is to preserve
and protect the decommissioned fire boat for the future.

An October 2015 visit to the old boat shows how much financial support
and work is needed to keep this amazing vessel alive.
