Gulfport, MS is the second largest city in Mississippi, with
approximately 64 sq miles
and a population of about 70,000. It is located in Harrison County on the Gulf
of Mexico.
Gulfport FD operates from 11 stations.
The Fireboat is on a trailer at Station 7 on the South end of Cowan Road.
The boat was acquired after the 2005 Hurricane Katrina hit Gulfport hard.
Gulfport has a fairly large port and harbor as well as beaches and some inland
waterways.
Gulfport has a few other boats in addition to the Fireboat.
