FUTURE TRI-TOWN AMBULANCE STATION

    The western half of Martha's Vineyard includes the 3 towns of Aquinnah, Chilmark, and West Tisbury.
    For some time, the three towns have joined resources to provide EMS ambulance services under the Tri-Town Ambulance Service.
    Each of the three towns houses an ambulance and staffing is provided under Tri-Town Ambulance. Basic and Advanced ALS service is provided and shared by the group.
    Previously, the newer of the fire stations in the three towns, West Tisbury Headquarters (Station 2) had the basic office space for Tri-Town.
    In 2021, the three towns authorized funding for the construction of a Tri-Town Ambulance facility. It was determined that the facility be built in Chilmark, approximately centered in the service are.
    A two bay facility, with appropriate office, living, and training facilities opened in July 2023.
The new facility is located behind the new Chilmark Fire Station and Town Hall at Beetlebung Corners.
