Bourne Fire Department received calls for a house fire on Easting Road at the corner of Long Boat
just off of Sandwich Road along the south side of the canal. The fire came in about 1500 hours
on Wednesday February 7, 2007. Temperatures were in the 20's with a chilling wind.
Bourne Engine 123, Engine 121, Ladder 126, Rescue 134, and Sandwich Engine 451 responded on
the first alarm. Mutual aid companies covered Bourne Stations. The fire caused extensive damage
to the occupied 1 story home.
