FLORIDA TRIP
We had an opportunity to be in Florida with family for Christmas 2024
and New Years 2025. A drive south enabled visits to find a few Fireboats
and to do a few other fun things along the way.
DAYTONA BEACH, FL
Daytona Beach has a new Fireboat on order.
We hoped it would be here.
Not yet.
Spent a nice night in Daytona before going farther south.

CHRISTMAS 2024
A Special Christmas for all of us.
5 Grand parents, enjoying 3 generations.
PALM BEACH GARDENS
We based in Palm Beach Gardens.
Visited with family.
Checked out some stations and stuff.
Even found some time at the pool in the sun.
TIMING IS EVERYTHING
Palm Beach County recently encrypted their Fire Dispatch,
so it is almost impossible to know what is going on by listening
to the scanner.
But, being in the right place at the right time,
right behind Palm Beach Garden's Engine 65 first due to two cars
on fire, New Years Eve 2025, was a special bonus.
FIRE STATION FIELD TRIPS
Papa got to bring the boys to a few Fire Stations.
The guys at PBCFR Station 19, 15, and 14 were great.

We found another boat at Palm Beach County Station 18
in the Jupiter area.
COMING SOON
A couple new stations are planned in the area for future visits.
A "new department" is being created and it seems complicated.

TIME TO GO
After a nice long visit, it was time to go.
One last stop at the beach.
Then a quick trip over to the west coast for a few more boats.
MARCO ISLAND, FL
First stop on west coast was Marco Island.
The 'older' Fireboat is docked behind this station.

A new boat is at a different dock a little farther away.
It is a 2024 Metal Shark 38' Fireboat 50 "J.W.Adams II."

ISLE OF CAPRI, GREATER NAPLES, FL
We had been here before.
Primary boat is 2017 Metal Shark 36' Fireboat.
Found a small boat previously not known.
NAPLES, FL
We stopped in Naples to see what's new.
The boat looked the same, but was at a different spot
since our last visit. Now at Naples City Dock.
CAPE CORAL, FL
Another new boat.

Venice also has a new boat.

NORFOLK AREA, VA
We sort of back tracked on our way north back home.
We stayed in Daytona, Myrtle Beach, and Virginia Beach
again, catching a few things we had missed.
We made ito home safely once again.
