     The C-O-MM Fire Rescue Department operates a modern fleet of fire and rescue apparatus including four engines, one quint aerial ladder, two brush units, three ALS ambulances, and a number of other rescue and support apparatus.
     All apparatus are assigned radio number designations and are presented here in order by assigned radio numbers

Fire-Rescue Boat 300 is our designated off shore boat.  It is the largest of our boats and is most capable of handling its duties in the salt water bays and off shore.
    The boat is a 1991 Boston Whaler Guardian 22 foot boat with a 200 HP Johnson outboard.  It has a removable dive door on the port side used for rescue and dive operations.  It is also equipped with a 300 gpm fire pump.
    The boat has modern navigation and communications equipment including radar, GPS, fire and marine radios.
     The boat is docked in the harbor at Osterville during the season and is generally staffed on a call basis by the crew from Station 2.

    Car 301 is the fire chief's cruiser.  The car is a 2003 Ford LTD cruiser package. The car is used by Chief John Farrington and is equipped with one SCBA and an AED defibrillator.

     Engine 303 is presently assigned to the Centerville Fire Station.  The engine is a 1987 Pierce Arrow 1500 gpm pumper.  It has a 950 gallon water tank and a 30 gallon Class B foam tank.
    Originally designated Engine 315, this engine was the first four door cab engine purchased by the department.  It has a full around the pump foam system, pre-piped deckgun, hydraulic ladder rack, and high side compartments on both sides. It has a diesel motor and automatic transmission.
     The engine carries 1200 feet of 4" large diameter hose, 750 feet of 2-1/2" hose, and 975 feet of 1-3/4" hose.  It carries a 24', 14', and 10' ladder.  There are 5 SCBA, an electric generator and portable lighting, a thermal imaging camera, and a variety of tools, saws, fans, and other equipment. It carries first aid equipment, oxygen, and an AED defibrillator.
    Engine 303 was refurbished in 2002, having body work, a new paint job, and renumbered as E303.
    The engine is now serving in a reserve mode, used to replace the front line apparatus during maintenance, etc.  It also is our mutual aid engine from headquarters.

     Engine 304 has a four door cab and aluminum rollup doors.  It was the first of our apparatus to be painted with the black roof. In fact, we believe it was the first to be painted this way in the state.

     Engine 304 is presently assigned to the Osterville Fire Station. It is a short wheel base 1994 Pierce Saber 1500 gpm pumper. It has a 700 gallon water tank, a 20 gallon Class A foam tank, and a 30 gallon ClassB foam tank.
     Engine 304 has a four door cab and aluminum rollup doors.  It was the first of our apparatus to be painted with the black roof. In fact, we believe it was the first to be painted this way in the state.
     The engine has two foam systems, one a Fecon around the pump foam system used for the Class B foam, and a FoamPro Class A foam system.  Class A foam is used for ordinary firefighting such as structural and wildland fires.  Class B foam, also known as AFFF, is used for flammable liquid fires such as gasoline and oil.
     It has a per-piped/portable deckgun,   a hydraulic ladder rack, a generator and lighting. It carries 1200 feet of 4" LDH, 850 feet of 2-1/2" hose, and 750 feet of 1-3/4" hose. Additionally it has 4 SCBA, a thermal imaging camera, saws, fans, and other equipment.  It is equipped with first aid equipment. oxygen, and an AED defibrillator.
