Firefighters from the Hyannis Fire Department used their Fire
Boat 808 for the first time to battle a boat fire
at the launch ramp at the Oyster Harbors Marine yard on Pleasant Street in
Hyannis at approx 1741 hours
on Wednesday November 24, 2010. An approximately 35' fiberglass boat caught fire
and was well involved
when firefighters arrived. The fire was fought from both the shore and the
water. HYAFD was assisted at the scene
by units from Yarmouth, COMM, and Cotuit while other units provided coverage for
several hours.
