NORWICH FIRE BOAT
CITY OF NORWICH, CT
MARINE 1
The Norwich Fire Department, located on the Thames River a few miles
north of New London,
took delivery of their new fireboat "Marine 1" in the spring of 2019.
The 2019 Metal Craft Marine 28' Firebrand Fireboat is capable of 1500 gpm.
The boat is called "Marine 1" is also named for former Fire Chief Kenneth
Scandariato
as the "Chief Scand". The boat is docked at the Norwich Marina at American
Wharf.
The vessel replaced a 30 year old vessel with less capabilities.
