YARMOUTH STRUCTURE FIRE
The Yarmouth Fire Department was initially dispatched to a report of an explosion and an
outside type fire at approximately 18:45 hrs on Sunday December 1, 2024.

Soon after, a confirmed structure fire was reported at the end of Huntington Avenue
off of Whites Path in South Yarmouth. The large steel commercial building was occupied
by several businesses including a boat shop, car repair shop, and several other businesses.

Heavy fire conditions brought a Working Fire Assignment that included line responses
from Dennis, Barnstable, and Harwich. The fire was a defensive exterior fight with
multiple heavy streams and two ladder pipes for about 2 hours to bring the fire
under control.
