28 Deer Run Lane, North Falmouth
Falmouth Fire Department responded to a fire in the attic of a 3 story home
under construction
at 28 Deer Run Lane on Saturday May 17, 2008 shortly after 1330 hours. Workers
were doing
insulation work in the attic when a fire suddenly broke out trapping a 41 year
old man who had to
be rescued by firefighters. Despite the efforts to save him, the man died of
apparent smoke inhalation
according to sources. A working fire assignment with special calls for
additional help from Bourne
and Mashpee responded to the scene, along with additional ambulances to
transport
several injured firefighters.
