An early morning fire at 143 Hickory Hills Circle in Osterville claimed the life of an 86 year old man at 0515 hours
on June 21, 2006. COMM FD personnel found the split level home heavily involved on arrival. An interior search
and attack were initiated on arrival, but heavy fire conditions and a collapsing roof forced a defensive exterior attack.
Units from COMM FD, Cotuit, Hyannis, and West Barnstable operated at the scene, with units from other departments
covering for several hours while the fire was being contained.
