OSTERVILLE 3RD ALARM
Firefighters from the COMM Fire Department responded to this
House fire in an exclusive section of Osterville on Friday
November 4, 2006. The fire began around 1949 hrs.
Three alarms were struck bringing assistance from several
departments including Cotuit, Hyannis, Barnstable, West Barnstable,
Mashpee, Sandwich, and Yarmouth. Other departments moved
apparatus to cover empty stations across the mid Cape area.
This fire occurred as crews, including 2 COMM engines and an ambulance,
were just mopping up from a two alarm fire on Route 132 in Hyannis.
Both fires took several hours to contain.
There were no serious injuries, through a couple firefighters
were treated at the Hyannis incident.
