WORKING FIRE

Bourne Fire Department was dispatched to a reported structure fire at the well known
former IHOP restaurant on the State Police Rotary on the Cape side of the Bourne Bridge
just after 5:00 PM on Friday May 15, 2015.  The building is currently undergoing renovations
in preparations for it to become a Dunkin Donuts. On arrival, C142 found smoke showing
from the D side of the building.  Shortly after, fire was blowing out of the attic and a
working fire assignment was requested bringing some mutual aid from MMR and Wareham
to the scene and covering empty Bourne Stations.  The fire took under an hour to fully control
and did moderate damage to a portion of the structure.
