BOSTON FIRE DEPARTMENT

 

Two Boston Firefighters died in the Line of  Duty during a fire
at Box 1579, 298 Beacon Street in the Back Bay on March 26, 2014.
Lt Edward J Walsh Jr, age 43 of Engine 33
FF Michael R Kennedy, age 33 of  Ladder 15
Both were apparently operating together in the basement
of a 4 story brick building early into the fire when a Mayday
was called. The fire quickly grew to 9 Alarms as crews were
brought in to help with rescue and fire control.
