RECOGNITION NIGHT 2023
The COMM FD held its 2023 Annual Recognition Night at the Centerville Headquarters
Fire Station at 17:00 hours on Monday October 16, 2023.

The event recognized the retirements of 2 long time members, the hiring of 5 new members.
the promotions of 5 new officers, and presentation of service years awards.

Meteorologist A. J. Burnett from WCVB Boston 5 was invited as a special guest.
He was pivotal in alerting many of the COMM District citizens and other across
Cape Cod on August 8, 2023 when an EF-0 Tornado came across parts of
Marstons Mills and Centerville.

The loss of 5 former Life Members was also remembered, with family members
in attendance. Each member to be forever remembered by a brick in the
COMM Firefighters Association Memorial in front of the station.

State Rep Kip Diggs presented recognition from the State House to
retired Lt Gordon Williams, 29 years of service. And, to Lt Matt Dillon
for 15 years of service with COMM FD.
