OSTERVILLE CRASH
A bizarre scene on Wianno Ave in Osterville just after 5:00 pm
on Wednesday July 26, 2023 got a lot of attention. A Subaru sedan,
occupied by two young children and a nanny struck a parked vehicle
near the Post Office. Even with a low speed impact, the front wheel
drive apparently caused the car to climb up onto the struck vehicle,
enough to cause the Subaru to roll over into the middle of the road.
Everyone was appropriately seated and belted. Airbags provided
additional protection. Fortunately no one was injured.
COMM FD and Barnstable PD responded.
(NOTE: Barnstable PD recently purchased new cruisers
that for the first time in many years are not blue and white.)
