Student Intern Graduates

BHS INTERN STUDENT AIDEN KUNDEL
The Barnstable High School has an Internship Program which has
enabled
many students to learn and experience what the fire departments in town do.
Students come to their assigned fire stations daily for about 9 months.
They train with, observe daily activities, and respond on calls with the
various crews. Many previous graduates have gone on to become professional
Firefighters and are currently in active duty within the various departments.
On Friday May 17, 2024, Student Aiden Kundel
'graduated' from his Internship.
Many members of the COMM Fire Department joined in to be part of a ceremony
where Aiden was presented his Fire Helmet, signifying completion of training.
In addition to his Fire Department Internship, Aiden is an outstanding athlete,
who played Varsity Lacrosse and was the BHS Varsity Quarterback.
He will be going to the United State Coast Guard Academy in the Fall.
