HOME SAVED
COMM Fire Department received an Automatic Fire Alarm (AFA) from a
home on Wianno Ave,
in Osterville around 15:45 on Sunday, November 26, 2023. Soon after, a call from
the occupancy
reported a smoke condition in the basement. A Structure Fire response was
dispatched.
On arrival, nothing was showing from a 3 story residence. Upon
investigation, an electrical fire
involving a piece of equipment in the basement was on fire. Crews established a
water supply
and deployed hose lines just in case. A fire was extinguished with a Chemical
Fire Extinguisher.
Crews then ventilated a moderate smoke condition. A coverage assignment was
requested.
The alarm system, and actions of Firefighters, prevented
greater damage.

Ladder 307 on scene.
Engine 305 hits the hydrant and lays in.
BPD arrived ahead of the FD.
(Note: Might have parked off the road, out of the way, so that Fire Apparatus
could fight a fire)
