BARNSTABLE COUNTY SHERIFF'S DEPARTMENT
Many friends, family, past and present co-workers, and others
joined together at the
Sandwich Fire Station in Forestdale to wish Jimmy well as he retires after 38
years
of service with the BSO.
He started out in 1985, when "The Shack" was still in
Barnstable Village.
At the time, the room had 2 positions, the "police/fire" position and CMED.
He took on leadership roles and moved up over the years taking on more
responsibility.
The "County" continued to take on additional responsibilities over the years,
including Mutual Aid, Haz Mat District 1, 911, and dispatch for 10 fire
departments.
In 2007, the Communications Center moved to the new Fire Station at Otis
(Massachusetts Military Reservation / Joint Base Cape Cod).
It continued to grow and change over the years.
Congratulations to Jimmy in his years to come!
