Barnstable Fire Department was dispatched to an Automatic
Fire Alarm at 3195 Main Street, Barnstable at approx !3:32 hrs
on Monday November 11, 2024.
The Registry of Deeds and Probate building is located in the
Barnstable County Complex just across the parking lot from the
Barnstable Fire Station.
Car 212 and Ladder 206 arrived for the alarm and had smoke
sjowing.
A Structure Fire response was requested bringing automatic response
from West Barnstable, Hyannis, and Yarmouth.
Fire was discovered in a generator room on the rear of the
building.
A fire was quickly contained and damage was contained without
spreading to the main building.
Early detection and quick action prevented a more serious situation.
