Chilmark Fire Department put this 1954 Ford F800 Big Job 4x4 in service as an Engine/Brush Breaker. It had a 750 gpm front mount pump and 750 gallon tank. In addition, it had a 150 gpm rear pump for pump and roll. It carried hose including (3) 10' lengths of 4-1/2" hard suction and (3) lengths of 2-1/2" hard suction, a 13' and 35' extension Ladder. When delivered it had a new 30 watt G&E two way radio. At one point it was called M-24 on the radio. Later it became Breaker 132. The truck cost about $10,500 when delivered. It remained in service until about the 1990s.

| Chilmark built a new brush breaker in 1976. The 1976 Ford F750 4x4 / Farrar 350/750 Breaker was initially called M-21 on the radio and later as Breaker 131. It served from 1976 to 2008. |

| Chilmark built a second station on North Road. In 1986 they
built this Ford L8000 / EJ Murphy 500/2600 Tanker. It had dump
valves, hose, ladders. It was nicknamed "Poogie" Tanker 133 served from 1986 to 2013. |

Chilmark Fire Department built this 2008 Freightliner 4x4 / Bulldog Brush Breaker to replace the 1976 Ford Breaker. This truck has a remote control nozzle in the front allowing a single operator to fight fire from the cab if necessary. |
