Tinicum Fire Department
"Marine 48"
The Tinicum, PA Volunteer Fire Company operates this fireboat.
It is a Firehawk 32 built by Harbor Guard Boats.
The vessel is powered by twin Mercury 300 HP outboards.
The pumping capacity is approximately 2000 gpm.
The boats has a side dive door platform.
The boat is kept in the water at a dock behind the station located
at E 2nd St & Wanamaker Ave, Essington, PA

The Tinicum Fire Company 48 serves Tinicum Township on Tinicum Island,
Delaware County, PA.  The community is located on the Delaware River
just south of the Philadelphia International Airport.  The fire station is located
in the village of Essington within the township.
