Sandwich Fireboat
"Marine 439"
The Sandwich Fire Department took delivery of their new Fireboat in June 2013.
The 37' 8" Moose Boats catamaran style boat was purchased with a grant from
Homeland Security. It is capable of pumping over 2500 gpm.
The boat is the first fireboat for Sandwich and is one of the only in the area.
It is docked at the USCG dock in the Sandwich Basin on the Cape Cod Canal.

SANDWICH MARINE 439
The Sandwich Fireboat 439 was joined briefly by the New Bedford Fireboat 38
at the Sandwich Marina on August 23, 2023. Both are Moose Boats.
Apparently the NEFD boat was picking up equipment or supplies from
the USCG prior to heading out into Cape Cod Bay before returning to New Bedford.
