COMM FIREFIGHTERS
A significant thunder storm came across Cape Cod early in the
afternoon of Monday August 26, 2024. Several Cape departments
were already committed at several lightning related structure fires (and
a number of other significant incidents) when a call reported a structure
fire at the Liberty Hall, at 2150 Main Street in Marstons Mills.
On arrival, crews were met with a heavy smoke
condition.
Upon sizeup, the fire was found to be in a small storage shed located
away from the main historic Liberty Hall. The fire was quickly
knocked down and overhauled by crews from E304 and L307.
Bystanders indicated a lightning strike had
been seen in the area
prior to the fire being reported.
